Audio Cassette – Compact Cassette

Audio cassette, Cassette tape or Compact Cassette is an analogue audio recording format that superseded older formats such as reel to reel and cartridge type formats such as 8 track.
Compact cassette made its entrance to the market around 1963 and went on to becoming the DeFacto audio recording and playback system until CD arrived. Used extensively in music distribution and domestic audio recording, the audio cassette tape has made its mark on history.
Audio cassette is double sided and typical tape durations are 30 or 45 minutes per side. Various tape formulations such as oxide vs metal allowed for better recordings.
A range of professional audio recording equipment is used depending on circumstances and the quality of the recording. Basic audio signal conditioning, equalization and signal compression are used to ensure the best quality possible.

A combination or high-quality audio recording hardware and audio editing software is used to reduce noise and enhance the audio recording.
We can transfer audio cassette to digital files for use in archiving or editing applications. We can supply the files as WAV, MP3 or almost any other audio file type.
