The Importance of Digitizing Video Tape
Why Digitize video tape? Video tape is not forever, it is prone to damage from age, moisture and incorrect storage. With age the tape surfaces deteriorate and result in the oxide being shed. This results in a permanent loss of material. The solution is to get the material into the digital realm ASAP, convert the video to a digital format. This brings about another set of issues. The first being, what format is best. There are pro’s and cons to all of them.

What an awesome Sound Demo, 58KW sound system at Mount Smart Stadium. The system comprised 12 x 2.5kw double 18″ subs and 14 x 2kw (7 a side) line array units.

Live Stream – How does it work
Livestream Broadcaster
In a nutshell, extremely well. The system comprises a little red box (called a livestream broadcaster) with a HDMI connection to our camera, there is a wired ethernet connection which gets us onto the WWW. Once a livestream.com account is created, we pair our broadcaster to the account and off it goes. Streamed video can be viewed live, paused, rewound, downloaded and watched at a later date. Obviously it’s dependent on a good high speed broadband connection. To date it’s been extremely well received and we’ve yet to have an issue with either the unit or it’s connection to the host. It’s a cost effective and reliable way to communicate your message to the world.
